Rosemary Hill

Flat, flowing singletrack with some bridges, a ruin or 2 to ride through, and a floating bridge to add some adventure. 18 kilometers of non-intimidating high fun. The ideal place to show to non-riders what the fuss is about. And coffee and breakfast afterwards.

Bottelary Hills

Cycle Tour registration done, bikes unpacked, pedals changed, seat height altered. So we were off to the Bottelary Hills mountain bike trail to test the bikes.

We took the green route from Protea Heights side. a few kilometers from the house, and you're cycling between vineyards. A long climb to get to between the fynbos, where we found a view of the sea and some hand-cut singletrack. More clim, then a twisty curvy downhill that reminded of sani2C.

Will definitely go back for more exploring when i'm in the area again :)

Day permits R50 per day (plus R50 deposit) from here:

- Radish Restaurant (previously the Only-One) : from 8 am
- Devonvale Golf Estate: from 6 am
- Devon Valley Hotel : 24 hours per day

Long way up
